Attachment & Healing
Who We Serve
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. You just need to be open to something different—for yourself, your child, or your family.
Dr. Esther Chon provides trauma-informed, developmentally grounded therapy for individuals across the lifespan—adults, parents, and young children. Whether you’re seeking support to process past trauma, navigate parenthood, or shift generational patterns, this is a space for healing, reflection, and growth.
Adults Seeking Personal Healing
You may be feeling stuck—anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward. You may be carrying pain from your past that’s affecting your present relationships, your work, or your parenting. Or you may simply be longing for more clarity, confidence, and self-connection.
We help adults explore and heal the deeper roots of emotional struggles, especially those shaped by early experiences, complex trauma, or relational patterns. Our work often includes:
- Anxiety, chronic worry, and panic attacks
- Self-doubt, imposter syndrome, or difficulty making confident decisions
- Low self-worth or feeling like you haven’t fully “shown up” in your own life
- Processing trauma—physical, emotional, relational
- Gaining self-awareness to improve relationships, parenting, or performance at work
- Exploring and healing the impact of early caregiver relationships
- Breaking generational cycles before becoming or while being a parent
- Processing birth trauma or the experience of having a baby in the NICU
Parents of Young Children (Ages 0–8)
Parenting a young child can be overwhelming—especially if your child is struggling in ways that are hard to understand or manage. You might feel like you’re walking on eggshells, unsure how to support your child or whether you’re doing it “right.”
We offer support that honors your child’s developmental needs and your role as a caregiver. Together, we work to understand your child’s behavior through a trauma-informed, relational lens—helping you feel more confident, connected, and equipped to support their growth.
Common concerns we support:
- Difficulty connecting with your child—defiance, shutdown, power struggles
- Emotional outbursts or behaviors that feel extreme or hard to manage
- Anxious, fearful, or withdrawn behaviors
- Sleep issues or frequent nightmares
- Adjustment to school, daycare, or new environments
- Aggression or sibling rivalry (especially after the birth of a sibling)
- Processing exposure to a traumatic event or significant loss
- NICU graduates or children with medical trauma
- Children who’ve experienced violence or loss
This work centers both the child and the parent—you’ll never be left on your own to figure it out.
Pregnancy, Postpartum & Perinatal Clients
You may be preparing to welcome a child—or adjusting to life after giving birth. You might be grieving a loss, recovering from a traumatic birth experience, or managing anxiety as you step into a new role.
We provide trauma-informed care for individuals navigating the profound emotional, physical, and identity changes that come with pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. This includes support for:
- Emotional overwhelm or mood shifts during pregnancy or postpartum
- Processing birth trauma, including unplanned medical interventions
- Navigating NICU stays or ongoing medical concerns
- Perinatal grief, including miscarriage or loss
- Shifting identities, roles, and relationships
- Feeling dysregulated or disconnected from your body
- Fear of repeating painful patterns with your child
- Struggles with bonding, attunement, or adjusting to the demands of parenting
This isn’t about perfection—it’s about supporting you as you support a new life. Therapy can offer a grounding, steady presence during one of the most vulnerable and transformative times in life.
Not Sure Where You Fit?
That’s okay. You don’t need to have it all figured out before reaching out. Therapy is a process—and we’ll walk through it together, at your pace.
Whether you’re seeking care for yourself, your child, or your family, this space is here to hold your story with compassion, curiosity, and care.
